Berkhamsted-based Kobold Lab has an expensive but oh-so-gorgeous set of dice as a bestseller on Etsy.
It’s not just the unusual shapes of these dice that got my attention (look at the d20 and d4!) but the colours.
A low-cost option would be a simple black and brass, but Kobold Lab has successfully created an old stone or tarnished metal effect. You know, like an ancient relic!
These dice would stand out even in my robust collection of polyhedral!
The catch? These handmade resins aren’t cheap, and they’re low in stock. Etsy is telling me there are only two sets left, so let’s hope Kobold Lab makes some more.
The set costs $69.92. You’ll have to pick whether you want a standard d20 or an alternative one, but that won’t affect the price. There are a few days on the shipping, but that’s domestic. Given the current international dramas around shipping crates, I’d order sooner rather than later if you’re eying these as an internationally sourced Christmas gift!
Oh, and sorry to report… there’s an evil twin set of corruption.
