Mage Hand Press has a vast, 380-page, 10 new base classes, and incredible 150+ subclass touting 5e book up on Kickstarter.
The tome is Valda’s Spire of Secrets, and the 5e Kickstarter community loves what they see. Mage Hand boldly asked for $40,000 to make the book, and today, with four weeks still to collect pledges, they’re at $140,000 offered. You can see progress or join in on Kickstarter.

Spire of Secrets is designed to work with any setting for 5e. That’s why it’s positioned as a core rules expansion. It’s not a new edition or something setting specific.
In addition to all those new classes, there are 130 new spells, magic items and exotic weapons. There are 5 new races, of which the Geppettin is one, and 50 new feats.
Introducing playbooks! This innovative new way to learn 5e classes walks you through the process of building a character, writing a creative background, and leveling up to 3rd level. The Starter Kit comes with 10 playbooks, one for each new class introduced in Spire of Secrets.
A pledge of $1 now will get you access to the add-ons, for which there are many, but few people have taken that route.
The physical and PDF starter kit are rewarded with pledges of $25, with shipping to be calculated.
Hundreds of backers have gone for the $35 tier which unlocks the full PDF edition of the Spire of Secrets and the accompanying Starter Kit.
Just as popular is the $60 tier, which ads in the hardcover copy of the book.
The Kickstarter exclusive slipcase, GM screen, spell cards and minis 4-pack are added to the growing bundle at $150.
There are other tiers, and, except the add-on only tiers, those are expected to be fulfilled in July 2022. I don’t imagine recreating them via the add-ons will get you the goodies any faster.
Add-ons include minis, cards, a copy of Mage Hand’s Dark Matter RPG, dice, dice-box, other Mage Hand books, a leather journal and enamel pins. Despite the campaign’s success so far, there are still add-ons to unlock as the campaign grows.
