Netflix will air Chinese anime Scissors Seven again, releasing season three on the platform on the 3rd of October.
Seven will depart Chicken Island as he sets off to recover lost memories.
It’s a quirky show, one that comes to life once you make it through the first couple of episodes.
Seven, a hairdresser with flying scissors, ends up being embroiled in battling assassins. As you might expect, our unlikely hero might well be connected in ways not first apparent to the ongoing conflict.
It’s an interesting show, highlighting what can get through China’s strict censorship laws. It’s also a story in which the traditional way of life in a don’t-ask-for-much village might be threatened by an unknowable and technologically advanced island nearby. Or, at least, by some of those there.
