We’re one step, and perhaps a flutter, from roleplaying adventures in the magical world of Thra. River Horse has opened up pre-orders for the RPG The Dark Crystal Adventure Game.
The book is a cloth-bound hardback of over 290 pages. 200 or so of those pages are for a pre-written adventure by Janet Forbes and Jack Caesar.
River Horse has squeezed in lots of novel touches, such as transparent overlay pages which reveal hidden information and fold-out scenes to showcase the iconic landscapes.
Alongside the handy double-sided map, the RPG has illustrations from Brian Froud, the artist synonymous with the movie, Chris Caesar and Iris Compiet.
Choose a Gelfing clan, and build your character. The rules of the game are designed to help new players create characters and get started in the world of storytelling games, but the adventure is designed to be playable in any RPG system with new and veteran players in mind.
