Al-Qadim is an official D&D setting for AD&D 2e, created by Jeff Grubb and published by TSR in 1992. The fantasy world uses One Thousand and One Nights as a theme and explores the Land of Fate, Zakhara.
A DMs Guild, therefore guidelines following but unofficial, upload this week is the Adventurer’s Guide to Zakhara (Al-Qadim and Forgotten Realms Player’s Guide).
The free download stretches to 14-pages and accompanies the gold best-seller Campaign Guide: Zakhara – Adventures in the Land of Fate. It’s a sampler to get you started, a sneak peek designed to lure you inside.
The core Campaign Guide: Zakhara – Adventures in the Land of Fate is designed for 5e and has been out since April and costs $15 or so for the PDF.
The pitch for the free download teaser is simple. It’s;
Everything you wanted to know about creating a Zakharan character in 5e but were afraid to ask!
These 14-pages walk you through selecting a race/ancestry and character class. The introduction includes archetypes for characters and information on the gods, faiths and cultures found in the setting. A team of three, GM Lent, Brock Sayre, Molly Parker, put the guide together with a host of talented illustrators and artists.
