Godzilla has a breath weapon that would make many dragons envious. The kaiju breathes atomic fire, a radioactive blast of energy that tends to be reserved for significant opponents.
Have you seen it happen? In many classic movies, the towering titan has a signal that reveals the devastating blast is coming. Godzilla’s armoured spines, those dinosaur-like fins that run from his neck down to his tail, light up.
Model maker Mezco’s Ultimate Godzilla statue does the same!
Complete with sound effects, this 18 inch tall and 33 inches long, gargantuan Godzilla is on pre-order at Entertainment Earth. No, you’ve guessed it; it’s not cheap.
The model, which is due out next year, in October 2022, will set you back $450.
Ultimate Godzilla also has an articulated jaw, which lights up with the dorsal fins, and when those roaring sounds burst from the model, that mouth moves.
You can also pose the tail, handy when the model is so long, and move the eyeballs, so Godzilla is looking at the right place in your gaming gen, shop display or streamers background diorama.
Entertainment Earth notes, and I find this rather pleasing, that the kaiju model is so large that they recommend against displaying it on surfaces above three feet high. The suggestion is that it’s not safe to reach up and lift Godzilla down, nor would you want anyone to topple the titan.
