Dark Veil Studios has launched its titular RPG on Kickstarter, with a campaign to raise $30,000 for a game set in a universe fractured in time.
It’s not just the tabletop roleplaying game being funded, but plenty of miniatures for the sci-fi setting as well. You can check out the details on the project page or leap in with a pledge.
If the project hits the target, the core rules will run to about 350 pages and should we see stretch goals fall, that total will grow.
In the setting, a year ago, the time dimension collapsed, and the Dark Veil emerged. As a result, time is being split into living splinters that coexist side by side.
The Dark Veil itself is a stormy energy dome, a prison and a protector between each splinter.
Dark Veil is a TTRPG (tabletop role-playing game) that centers on a universe splintered in time cohesively connecting eras of medieval fantasy, Victorian era steampunk, cyberpunk space age, and the infinite realms of the Veil. With a heavy focus on role-play and player driven story, Dark Veil offers a success-based skill system that is fun and approachable for any tabletop role-player.
A pledge of $35 will get you a PDF edition of the Dark Veil RPG and a digital copy of the Gate Shuffle adventure as well.
The next tier up with a reward is set at $60, which adds the Dark Veil hardcover, and you’ll have to work out shipping at the Pledge Manager later.
$125 unlocks the adventure edition, which means the Dark Veil sector map and storyteller screen, with the Gate Shuffle adventure being upgraded to a physical copy.
A playmat, card game and some exclusive minis are added to the growing loot pile for pledges at $250.
All these tiers are expected to ship in June 2022.
