Children of Midnight is a gender-inclusive urban fantasy RPG. In the game, characters are Wyld Witches who, with their Familiars, form a Coven of support.
The tabletop roleplaying game is Forged in the Dark, and the quickstarter is free to download.
The RPG is being developed by Gavin & Aine Moore’s Balsamic Moon Games.
Magic is real but was practised in secret until the 16th century, when a trio of witches finally had enough. These Scottish witches swept into action to rescue hundreds of women falsely accused of being witches and then thousands more over time.
The rescue of this woman was a turning point, and other witches came out of the shadows. The golden age followed, with many people adopting the witches’ ways and magic and magical creatures returned to the world.
It was not to last, future generations could not maintain harmony, and the witch wars broke out. Afterwards, The Order stamped its authority and took control.
The 40+ page quickstarter includes art, sheets, a timeline, the systems, factions and gives you a good idea of the RPGs layout and style.
The game is dedicated to Balsamic Moon Games’ real-life witchy friends.
