Edge, the Asmodee owned RPG studio that picked up tabletop roleplaying games from Fantasy Flight, has announced Adventures in Rokugan.
Adventures in Rokugan brings Legend of the Five Rings to 5e, the system that powers D&D.
Edge says;
Players can explore this rich setting in a whole new light, and adaptations of these popular rules promise to engage both old and new fans. Take on the role of mighty warriors, cunning shugenja, powerful ritualists, or well-spoken courtiers as you delve into the mysteries and dangers of the Emerald Empire!
L5R was first published by Alderac Entertainment Group in 1995 and is mainly set in a land roughly based on feudal Japan, but with other East Asian influences, and in an empire called Rokugan.
Fantasy Flight bought the title in 2015 and converted the original collectable card game into a living card game.
The 5th edition of L5R was published in 2018 and used “Roll and Keep” mechanics, but this new edition uses “5e” in the D&D sense and will use the SRD.
There’s no release date for the supplement yet, but Edge has reassured L5R fans that the current game will still be supported.
