Readers will know that I’ve been lamenting the lack of a D&D advent calendar. In the end, the official D&D 2022 calendar was close, but no cigar and I went for a third-party dice advent calendar instead.
Affiliate partner Zavvi then emailed with an alternative suggestion worthy of consideration. The Minecraft Advent Calendar Cube looks great. It’s an actual cube! This will be a pretty impressive thing to have to open every December morning.
While there are 24 doors, there are some 54 Minecraft-themed gifts inside. Excuse the language, but I’m not sure how the designers square that decision. Multiple items behind doors?
Inside there are 17 Minecraft Backpack Buddies (characters, weapons and blocks), mystery gifts, and the final door will reveal a 4cm tall character icon light (batteries needed).
Recommended for no one younger than six, I think this is a remarkable design and pick-me-up of an idea.
