Gallant Knight Games’ TinyD6 RPG Mecha & Monsters was the publishers second game. It’s back on Kickstarter with Mecha & Monsters: Evolved to print a new edition with updates and new art.
The campaign is doing well, and there are two weeks to get involved. Gallant Knights asked for $15,000 to fund the book and have raised that amount. Now we’re pushing into new territory, and you can see how far we get on the project page.
Mecha & Monsters has the player characters pilot the robots to defend civilization from the attack on the monsters. Sea monsters, space monsters and all sorts of towering terrors.
It’s a rules-lite system. A 5 or 6 on the D6 counting as a success, usually with 2d6 rolled, but that can be reduced or enhanced with the situation.
Mecha & Monsters: Evolved is an updated, refined and fully stand-alone game in for the TinyD6 line, presenting an upgraded version of our second game ever: Tiny Frontiers: Mecha & Monsters!
It’ll be about 200 pages long, hardcover and with offset printing in full colour. Writers include Steffie de Vaan, Jack Norris, Elizabeth Chaipraditkul, and John Kennedy. Banana Chan and Sen-Foong Lim are on board to provide a kaiju invested campaign.
Pledging $15 will get you a copy of the PDF. The estimated retail price for that will be $20.
Outside the US, a hardcover at-cost code from DriveThruRPG and the PDF is unlocked at $25. That means you can get it shipped to you from the nearest likely printer, but you’ll still have to pay for that.
The offset print run is only available in the US, sadly. That takes a pledge of $40.
The DriveThruRPG powered tiers, the first two, are expected to be fulfilled in March 2022, with the print run for the United States-based backers slated for April.
