Sesame Cos is a SoCal based chemist and cosplayer, and they are taking us into October with some ghostly cosplay.
Sometimes simple outfits are hard to cosplay. Why? It’s hard to project the essence of a character if the costume is fairly generic. Sadako Yamamura’s dirty white dress could hardly be any more generic.
And yet, Sesame Cos goes that extra mile and brings the character to life (or unlife) by creating that creepy crawl that made the TV crawling ghost from the Ring so spooky.
Park Eun-suh, aka Samara Morgan, aka Sadako Yamamura is a horror icon, played by a host of actresses now and a vengeful ghost determined to have you spam your friends with unwanted media (a videotape in this case) or suffer the consequences.
I had a Google around to see if I could find any worthy Samara costumes for Halloween. It was surprisingly hard, perhaps because of the “just a dirty nightdress” challenge, but this from Horror-Shop.com was my favourite. However, it takes second place to this surprisingly fun and cheeky Sadaka Yamamura dress!
