Monte Cook Games has released a 16-page Claim the Sky preview for the Cypher System.
The tabletop RPG is a superhero game with rules and a setting suitable for the genre.
In the full core rules, Claim the Sky offers up;
- New superhero rules for the Cypher System
- New power shift and power stunt rules
- Advice for playing specific types of supers, and building them
- 50 pre-genned characters
- In-depth discussions of superhero themes
- The Boundless setting
It weighs in at 224-pages and costs $50 for the hardback, with a PDF option available.
The free preview scratches the surface just enough to let potential buyers see layouts, designs and get a taste for the game.
Both require a copy of the Cypher System to use.
Claim the Sky was part of the Heroes of the Cypher System Kickstarter project. Along with First Responders, real-life heroes like paramedics.
The Kickstarter picked up over 1,500 backers and made more than $175,000 in pledges. Claim the Sky has been made available to backers before being put on retail release.
