Craig Campbell and NerdBurger games have had a string of acclaimed Kickstarter successes. The latest campaign, Secrets of the Vibrant Isle, is a solo tabletop RPG.
You sought it out and are now shipwrecked on the shore… and the question is whether you’ll be allowed to stay. The campaign has been funded, and you can join from the project page.
Craig describes Secrets of the Vibrant Isle as a cross between a rules-light TTRPB and a Choose Your Own Adventure Book. Grab a snack, a drink and relax into the mysterious island.
There are two modes of play.
There’s a Short Play option for the day-to-day exploration of the island, filling in details with your imagination and guided by the dice.
Long Play adds in dice for writing prompts, mapping the island and stretching the game into a few hours.
Secrets of the Vibrant Isle is a solo tabletop roleplaying game where you portray a character shipwrecked on a fantastical island. As you play the game, you’ll scavenge the shipwreck, protect your camp, improve yourself, and explore many dozens of the island’s beautiful wonders and dark corners.
And you’ll meet the island’s inhabitants.
There’s not much of a debate about which tier you want to support the solo RPG at if you want a copy. NerdBurger offers $15 PDF copies as thank yous for supporters at that level, and delivery is likely to be in May next year.
The project will be fulfiled via DriveThruRPG.
