Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba fans can now watch new episodes of the show on Funimation and Crunchyroll.
Gearing us up for what’s to come in Demon Slayer, there’s a helpful trailer that does a cracking job at a recap, foreshadowing and showing how the various arcs fit together. I wish more anime did this!
Season one was a smash hit, and while it reached an ending, there was clearly loads more to go. Then we had the Demon Slayer feature-length animation, Mugen Train which came out during the lockdown. Fans might not have been able to see it.
The showreel trailer and the first episodes of what’s being called the Mugen Train arc solve this problem. The new arc is a re-edit, with new material, the movie. Thus, people who have missed out are caught up, and people who’ve seen the movie don’t need to sit through a copy’n’paste.
Later this year, season two’s Entertainment District arc takes us deeper into Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga adaptation. Power levels get higher, but the danger, well, that’s already at maximum. Demon Slayer pulls no punches.
