Spencer Campbell has put together a collaborative project with 10 authors writing for the Slayers RPG.
Slayers, the winner of Best Rules at the Indie Groundbreakers and three-time ENnie nominee, is a game about mercs and monster hunters for hire. The Almanac expands the city setting with maps and information. It’s funded on Kickstarter, and you go join in from the pitch page.
Here’s the catch, the bonus-sting; you don’t need Slayers for the Almanac. That’s the default, but this city expansion can be used for any system.
The lore books adds rumours, factions and rumours. Each district of the city from which our monster hunters are based gets;
- Written by a different author, each putting their own spin on The City
- A beautiful hexmap so the Slayers can explain every corner
- A distinct art style and illustrations to bring the district to life
- Travel guide info, for the Slayer on-the-go
- Rumors and factions to inspire GMs creating their next hunt
- Rules agnostic, and can be used with systems other than Slayers!
The authors and designers on the project include; Jay Dragon, Josh Hittie, Angela Lemus-Mogrovejo, Luna Petra G, Jessica Marcrum, Kevin Thien Vu Long Nguyen, Charu Patel, and J.R. Zambrano.
The PDF unlocks as a thank you for backers at the $15 level. The print copy is added for fans who step up to $25.
Alternatively, if you now want into Slayers, then you get this and the core rules in PDF for $25.
The highest tier, $35, gives you the Almanack in print as well. There’s no option in this campaign for Slayers in print.
Delivery is expected to be in May 2022.
