Tatsuya Endo writes and illustrates the popular Shonen manga Spy X Family about a spy who cobbled together a family for a mission. He adopts a woman and a daughter for the fraud but doesn’t know that one is an assassin and the other a mind reader.
The spy, aka Twilight, is skilled in combat and information processing and the secret mission requires him to enrol into a posh school that requires both parents to be present. So, as Loid Forger, he presents Anya Forger to the school. Anya is actually an experimental human test subject. Yor Forger, the wife? Realy the Thorn Princess, and she doesn’t know the truth about Twilight either, but did happen to need a fake husband at the time.
Wit Studio (Great Pretender) and CloverWorks (Horimiya) are helming the project, which will come to TV next year.
We know Takuya Eguchi (My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU) will voice Twilight, but the other cast remains a mystery.
In recent years, Spy X Family has finished in the top 5 for “manga we want to see as anime” polls in Japan.
There are two posters for the anime, one showing the secret characters and their fake mundane lives.
