Advent calendars seem to be a hot issue this year. There are woes with D&D calendars and I thought this Minecraft cube would be the design stakes.
Oh, there’s a challenger! Truffle Shuffle has a Borg Cube that’s also an advent calendar
Borg ships are dangerous flying Cubes, and so this advent calendar is clever, sinister, in-theme, and all sorts of things at once.
I’m impressed.
Inside the Star Trek advent calendar, there are 24 high-quality gifts. We’re told there are drinks coasters based on console screens, socks and even an espresso cup as a commemoration of humanity’s first warp flight.
It’s less clear as to whether there’s a relentless army of cyborg-aliens converted by the collective associated with his Cube. There might be one or two, I suppose!
Advent calendars aren’t cheap, and this Cube is £120, so it’s quite a treat. Some of the gifts are unique, so the title “Collector’s” gets added. It’s as if they know Trekkies well, and our weaknesses.
But I shall resist; it’s not futile. I’ve booked my dice calendar, and that will do me.
