The Seven Deadly Sins is a popular anime on Netflix that’s survived the transfer from one studio to another but not without controversy.
In the series, a group of supernaturally talented fighters travel Britannia on a giant green pig. The pig wears an even larger wooden top hat. The hat is also a pub.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh trailer is the sequel and a two-part animated movie that follows Tristan, the son of two of the original characters.
Netflix gives the trailer a 2022 tag, suggesting that The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh will be out next year.
Fan reactions in the YouTube comments, on the official Netflix upload and elsewhere, are mixed. The CGI look splits the room. While Edinburgh castle is visible in the background in the trailer, the rest of the setting is uninspiringly barren.
