Despite a yearning, I didn’t back Thirsty Sword Lesbians at Kickstarter because Evil Hat couldn’t/wouldn’t ship the book to the UK.
It’s not a criticism of the publisher; it reflects the US postal system and global trade. Now, a new Kickstarter for the expansion Advanced Lovers and Lesbians gives me the first chance. The Kickstarter, with some international support, is live with less than two weeks to run.

There are 10 new playbooks, character concepts such as, The Dream Mirror by Christie R. Fremon that tries to be what everyone else needs and the cost of their sense of self, and there’s the Investigator, a clever mystery hunter by Ash Cheshire.
Advanced Lovers introduce 21 new settings for the game, worlds and scenarios well suited to the storytelling nature of the RPG. These worlds include Lucian Kahn’s Gaylords, Avery Alder’s Greasy Dock Goblins and Bryanna Hitchcock’s Battle Bards of the Sol System.
Throughout this 272-page book, you’ll find beautiful, full-color artwork that captures the full spectrum of characters you can play as part of the diverse, expansive, and unabashedly queer worlds found within.

It’s nice to see Evil Hat not taking money simply to supply the POD code, as backers still have to pay printing and shipping on that. It also feels right to bake in the community support.
At $39, backers have those rewards upgraded with a hardcopy of Advanced Lovers and Lesbians, supporting UK, Australia and New Zealand shipping.
