Punks raging against a relentless corporate hell and cybernetic misfits in a nano-infested doomsday RPG.
Cy_Borg is a rules-light, rage-heavy tabletop that’s not only compatible with Morg Borg but comes from the games’ art director and co-creator Johan Nohr. It’s obliterated the funding goal, and you can join the rage over at Kickstarter.
As with Morg Borg, the world of Cy_borg is ending.
It’s some time in the year 20xsomethinx3, and it might be an ecological catastrophe, war, capitalism, space rocks, pandemic, or interface error, but we’re unlikely to see a year 20xsomethinx4.
The book provides the city setting of Cy, quick character generation and random generators, including a headline generator. There are tables, equipment, foes to fight and optional rules.
Lucky Flight Takedown is an introductory heist that comes with the 160-page A5 hardcover. That makes it similar to Mork Borg but larger.
Noise warning
Mork Borg is a black metal inspired RPG. Cy_borg is this:
Cy_borg stretch goals
The campaign is likely to unlock any stretch goals that are initially added. They already include an extra ribbon for the book, generators from Karl Druid, a glow in the dark spine and nine guest writers.
Additional guest writers are likely. So is the A3 post for Horrors of the deep Net by pixel artist Christopher Joel Rodriguez and an NPC generator from Karl Druid.
Not able to grab Mork Borg yet? It’s available as an add-on for this project. You don’t need it, though; Cy_borg stands on its own tarnished metal feet.
Backer tiers
The first backer tier with a reward attached is SEK 111 or £10, which gets you Cy_borg and a separate asset pack in PDF.
At SEK 444, about £38, you get the physical book added to those rewards.
What’s in the asset pack? An A2-sized poster map of Cy, A5 character sheets, and an A4 pad of one-page locations. The physical asset pack is added at SEK 616 or £53.
The tiers go higher still. At SEK 888 (£76), the Nano Edition of the physical book is added to that growing collection, but you don’t get the basic edition anymore.
If you want both basic and Nano, then it’s SEK 1313 or £112.
