December 5th is when Funimation and sibling site Crunchyroll get Demon Slayer: Entertainment District arc. I’m no longer sure whether we’re adding “arc” as a descriptor or whether it’s the official title now. Is it a bit like having “Chapter Chapter 13” in a book?
Anyway, we’re so close to release now that Funimation has English subtitles on the second teaser. Geek Native happily shows anime trailers in Japanese, but it’s nice to know what’s being said now and then.
The smash-hit picks up from the feature-length that came out during the lockdowns and was successful anyway. If you missed it, you can catch the Demon Train now at Funimation too.
In the Entertainment District Arc Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu are teamed with Tengen, the Sound Hashira. He’s lost his wives. Even more worryingly, they were investigating demons within the district.
As demon slayer fans know, it’s not easy being a demon slayer. It seems, more often than not, it’s the demons doing the slaying.
