It’s hard to name a more famous anime vehicle than Akira’s motorbike. Does the castle count in Howl’s Moving Castle? What about the flyer in Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind?
By “Akira’s motorbike”, I mean the motorcycle that appeared in the anime of that name. Why? It’s actually Kaneda’s bike.
This is a concept model by James Qui and is based on the Ducati Diavel cruiser. I don’t know enough to predict whether it would ever be street legal, but I can confidently say it looks rad.
The concept is called the Akira&Ducati, reflecting the parent bikes in the mashup, and those are Pirelli P-ZERO tires.
Pirelli says they are puncture-proof, well suited for the dry and wet ground, but the tiremaker gives the model fewer marks when it comes to comfort.
You can’t buy Qui’s Akira&Ducati, but Sideshow and Project BM! do have this Kaneda’s Bike as a sixth scale figure.
