Trinity Knot Studio has backed nearly 100 Kickstarter campaigns and has started five. We’ve seen the name on Routinely Itemised: RPGs a few times. The studio’s latest Kickstarter is for softcover and 50+ page 5e character sheets.
The Kickstarter is ten times over their humble asking goal of £200 and has two weeks left on the clock. You can join in from the project page.
There’s no pitch video, not for a £200 target campaign and the photograph above is a mockup. The important thing to note is that the final character sheet journal will be softback and use untreated recycled paper.
I’m not sure, but I think there’s a chance the final product might not have quite the same off-white tone, which gives the photograph a touch of historic class.
It’s also a 10-page character sheet. That’s the first 20% of the journal taken up with stats, wonderfully decorated stats, albeit. The remaining 80% of the book is for notes, and it eschews graph paper as unnecessary.
The campaign has been successful enough to unlock the GMs Campaign Journal. This is a larger book, will be spiral-bound and have sections for players, NPCs, locations, factions and notes.
Marian (the artist) will get a 50/50 split on profits on any and all sales for the lifetime of the product. There are a whole bunch of reasons why we’re doing this; she’s awesome, talented (you should have seen the mockup I sent her originally, she did not have a lot to work with), but mainly because we want to and we can.
A single copy of the adventurers’ journal costs only £6 plus shipping, and that’s 25% off the retail price.
Kickstarter isn’t a retail platform, but the reward the pledging £25 to support the product is 5 of the same adventurers’ journals. Retailers have a different tier.
Add-ons are available at every tier and are your way to that GMs Campaign Journal.
