It seems like an age since we last heard anything about Netflix’s anime Child of Kamiari Month, but it has just been months.
Odd, since we’ve had demons and bunnies as well as dragons.
The latest trailer isn’t as long but manages to be emotionally moving and visually stunning in equal measure.
Due out on Netflix on February 8th, Child of Kamiari Month is the story of a girl making a journey after her mother’s death. The destination is the annual gathering of gods held in the sacred land of Izumo.
It’s part of a real-life Japanese legend that gods meet at the Izumo Shrine in October. October, or Kannazuki, is the month of no gods… unless you live in Izumo, in which case you’d call it Kamiarizuki or the month of gods.
Why the delay in the release? Lockdown strikes again.
