In previous days, we’ve been going through genres at DriveThruRPG and sharing lists of those RPG products published this year and ranked by how well they’ve sold. Yesterday it was sci-fi and the day before modern.
We’re nearly at the end of the list. What’s left? Those products tagged with “Miscellaneous “. It’s worth noting that the tags aren’t exclusive to each other; RPGs can be both family and miscellaneous if they want.
If you’re now predicting we’ll see many familiar names from previous genre tables, you’re not wrong. In the interests of discovery, the good news is that we also see plenty of new ones.

It’s Cubicle 7 who appears most often here; once with the sci-fi of Wrath & Glory and twice with Warhammer Fantasy.
It’s a superhero game, Sentinel Comics: The Roleplaying Game Core Rulebook by Greater Than Games, that takes the top spot. Greater Than Games was bought this year, just recently. Perhaps we’ll see more from them in 2022, or maybe they’ll be busy with integration.
Onyx Path appears twice but we see some new names like Graycastle Press with Journey and Gavriel Quiroga for WARPLAND. It’s also worth noting both French and Korean titles make the cut. DTRG reaches far.
Acknowledgements
If you’ve been reading the acknowledgements in previous reveals, you’ll know what I need to say here.
Firstly, thanks to DriveThruRPG for the data, I don’t get any more than this.
Secondly, here or anywhere else, bestseller lists aren’t a proxy for best games. That said, there are some crackers to find here.
Thirdly, there are other ways to ship games in 2021, such as Patreons, Kickstarters and other marketplaces, especially those bundles with virtual tabletops.
