The Greatest Demon Lord is Reborn as a Typical Nobody has an English captioned trailer, just hit that YouTube button.

The series will premiere in Japan in April 22.

Lord Varvatos becomes so powerful that those few “friends” he still has afterwards no longer see him as human. So, he decides to die.

Dramatic? Yes, but he plans – and achieves – rebirth. Reborn as Villager A. At least, that’s what the subtitles on the trailer say until people start calling him Ard.

And ‘ard, I suspect he is. For a while there, I imagined an anime in which heroes would romp through a village of NPCs. However, in this scenario, Villager A isn’t a copy of Villager B but was actually the level boss from as of yet unlocked advanced level.

That’s not the case, though.

Yen Press have Myojin Katou’s novels on Amazon, the source material for the series. Volume 1 of the light novel says this;
