Some branded mashups are so obvious that their genius doesn’t surface until someone else suggests it.
Well done on Tockr for betting on The Wheel of Time. The American brand’s homepage is currently showcasing this great looking watch.
It’s a new company, born in 2017, and this partnership will help push that brand recognition up a notch. Although, it doesn’t help me get a Pixel Watch.
The official timepiece for Amazon’s show is all coils of a two-headed serpent. I don’t want to say Ouroboros as it does not have its tail in its mouth; nevertheless, I believe it to be the great serpent from the series. Aes Sedai may wear a gold ring with the emblem in the books.
In life, the Tockr watch is made from stainless steel and quartz. Here’s how the watchmaker describes the design;
In daytime, glowing serpentine creature emerges from the depths of each dark black dial, illuminated in a blaze of bright white, Grade X1 Swiss Super-LumiNova®. By night, the largest serpent appears in a mystical, glowing blue reminiscent of Moiraine’s chosen ajah.
The watch has a 6-year battery life, a diameter of 42 mm, and each has a unique serial number. The black silicone strap has hints of scales, and each watch comes with its own The Wheel of Time leather pouch.
The watches are available directly from Tockr for $449 or a $41 monthly payment plan.
