Demon Slayer is a justifiable anime hit. The show mixes hi-octane action you’d expect from an anime, with character development and an edge of grit and darkness that modern audiences relate to.
In the series, humanity has expert swordsmen and access to actual magic, but the truth is stark. In one-on-one fights, we’re simply outclassed by the flesh-eating demons.
There’s some good news. As anime’s international takeover continues, props and merch once consigned to wishful thinking or expensive imports has become more readily available. Today you can pre-order not one but several different Demon Slayer props.
Kyojuro Rengoku’s Broken Nichirin Sword
Fans of the Mugen Train will recognise the sword of the Flame Hashira. He may have odd mannerisms but is a warrior worthy of respect.
You can pre-order this broken nichirin sword today, but it’s not due out until August.
Inosuke Hashibira’s Nichirin Swords
Perhaps the most iconic swords from the show – as they’re so visually striking and because they belong to the equally striking boar-masked Inosuke.
This muscled warrior is only 15 in the show, which is impossible to tell while he wears the mask. However, it’s a youthful and feminine face below.
Tanjiro Kamado’s Nichirin Sword
Tanjiro’s sword is elegant in its deadliness. Like the character himself, it’s understated but determined.
Tanjiro is our main hero, he uses his sword often, but I suspect it’s not what we remember about him. It’ll be the box he carries, that green and black coat or even his scar. This sword arrives first, expected in January.
Agatsuma Zenitsu’s Nichirin Sword
A crackling design without a hint of insecurity or a lack of confidence. This sword knows how good it is.
It’s just one picture of this sword, but with the good news that it won’t be far behind Tanjiro’s own Nichirin; due in the UK late in February. And what do we wake of the electric Zenitsu? Annoying or a sleeping power-house?
