I’ve not been posting trailers for CUE! as without subtitles and focusing on dialogue, it’s hard to glean anything from them.
However, the anime about young women trying to become successful in anime and voice actors is coming to Crunchyroll. So let’s finally take a look.
The anime comes to Japan in just a few days, on the 7th, and we see it mentioned on Winter 2022 lineup. CUE! is marked as a simulcast which means it’ll air, with subtitles, on Crunchyroll pretty much as it airs in Japan.
It’s an original anime; that’s to say, there’s no manga from which the plot is based or characters to bring to life from established illustrations.
It’s set in the fictional offices of “AiRBLUE” which is a brand new talent agency for voice actors. There’s a total of sixteen potential starlets in the show, plus other characters, which begs the real-life question of “Just how much do/don’t these talents get paid in real life?”
That said, we’re not expecting everyone to make it through the auditions. Voice acting is as competitive as a battle royale.
