The latest Police in a Pod trailer comes with English subtitles; just hit that caption button on YouTube.
The snippet of the police drama also changes tone from the first trailer which was more romantic, even emotional.
You see, the lead character was going to resign from her role on the police force, and then the station gets given a new female director.
There’s been a TV series before, a live-action one, and more than a dozen manga volumes. It’s just weird that it’s taken until now for the anime to happen.
It’s out now, episode at a time rather than a binge-watch, and you can probably view it on Funimation. Probably? It depends whether you line up with one of the territories Funimation has the rights to.
The streaming platform describes the show;
Officer Mai Kawai has had enough! She’s sick of being a police officer—but just when she’s about to hand in her resignation, the arrival of a brilliant (and beautiful) ace detective named Seiko Fuji changes her mind. Will Fuji reignite Mai’s passion for policing? And will Mai uncover the mystery of why Fuji was transferred to this ordinary police box?
