The RPG Engine isn’t a virtual tabletop, and it’s a tool to help better show your online RPGs to bring them to life.
If you’re not used to or don’t much like the Theatre of the Mind approach to RPGs, then the good news is there’s a free demo available.
Developed by PolyDemons, a full-time artist, programmer and VFX artist working in the games industry, the platform offers both player and GM level controls.
Players can control the movements and actions of their assigned characters. As a result, they can explore the worlds created, visualise and engage in combat and get involved.
GMs get to create and manage whole worlds.
Creating and managing a world means sculpting and painting terrains, including caves and underground, adding props and items, assigning players control of characters, hosting the server, adding fog of war and simulating combat scenarios.
There’s a Discord server for questions, answers, discovery and chat.
