Wizards of the Coast have re-released the old D&D Monster & Treasure Assortment Sets (one, two and three) and the (kinda) related Character & Monster Assortment set as downloads.
The Treasure Assortment was first published in 1980 as a roundup of the 1978 releases of random monsters and treasure tables.
Originally, each book corresponded to levels of the dungeon, with monsters getting more brutal and the treasure greater the further down the PCs explored.
Wizards say;
The Monsters & Treasure Assortment has 900 Monsters, 900 Treasures, a host of treasure containers/protection devices/concealment, and complex instructions for using the assortment to fill in partially stocked or newly encountered dungeon level’s.
The Character & Monster book is much younger, dating back a mere 30 years to 1992.
The original Character & Monster release came with cards intended to be punched out to become standees. It’s these standees that are being referred to in WotC’s blurb for the download
At last! A whole collection of 3D heroes and their monstrous foes is made available. From now on, easy to assemble hordes of colorful and mysterious creatures will hide behind the Dungeon Master game screen, waiting to surprise unwary players.
The Character & Monster supplement brings back the best game pieces offered in your favorite D&D modules, along with a brand new series of stand-ups.
These are not D&D 5e downloads.
