Artist and miniature gamer John Robertson has smashed their Kickstarter goal for Osmoticmeld, a project to bring the work of Ian Miller to life as tabletop minis.
Ian Miller has a style for which Wikipedia experts use words like “grotesque”, “nightmarish” and “gothic”. He’s illustrated for Games Workshop, Magic: The Gathering, Fighting Fantasy, Shadowrun and Earthdawn.
Osmosis plus Meld gives us Osmoticmeld and a Kickstarter campaign for £4,999. With two weeks to run, the Edinburgh based project has more than £16,000 in pledges. You can join in from the campaign page.
Osmoticmeld is a collaboration between John Robertson and Miller and channels the “Oldhammer” vibe from the Facebook sculpting group of the same name.
The project spans a length of time that has seen me transition from a novice sculptor to a “professional” one, but I make no claims as to my competency in that department, I merely attempt to make a living from it these days!
You can support the project with any financial backing, but it takes a pledge of £50 to get the first minis as a reward. You get 10 white metal models at that level, and they will require assembly.
Alternatively, you get four complete models as thank yous for a pledge of £55.
Higher pledges clock in at £75 for the Chariot of Fire or £165 for a combination of models.
Irrespective of which tier you settle on, the estimated delivery is as early as June 2022.
