Next month, Jim Zub and Troy Little will give us another comic book D&D and Rick & Morty crossover. The series is Rick & Morty Vs Dungeons & Dragons: Meeseeks #1.
The default cover is pretty cool, which you can see online. It’s by Vasquez.
However, it was Variant C that caught my attention. Limited to 1 per customer at Forbidden Planet, this comic book simply trots out a D&D character sheet as the cover.
Well. I say “simply”, perhaps I should have said “merely” for Meeseeks, but either way there’s nothing dull about it. The splash of colour turns the familiar black and white boxes into something else entirely. That’s one hell of a charge.
It’s probably the case that the Variant C (haracter sheet) cover is available elsewhere, I just can’t find it online yet.
The default cover is kicking around, though and available on digital stores such as comiXology.
The worlds of Dungeons & Dragons have their share of blue, wish-granting djinn, but none is as desperate to please, persevering, or unstable as Mr. Meeseeks! Watch what happens when a pair of hapless rogues stumble upon the ultimate magic lamp.
