The DMsGuild will soon get a new 5e book about Thay the Land of the Red Wizards.
This particular take on Thay has some high profile authors including Ed Greenwood. Ed Greenwood invented the Forgotten Realms, and so while the book remains a DMsGuild third-party offer, it’s written with some authority.
Gamehole Con director and lawyer Alex Kammer and Alan Patrick are both mentioned on the cover. Patrick’s the author of the D&D Adventurers League Mist Hunters: The Amber Secret.
It was a tweet from Kammer that revealed the book was nearly ready. It may just be in the DMsGuild approval queue.
The Red Wizards are a favoured enemy in Faerun, and the cabal is made up of magical slavers and demonologists who think nothing about any suffering created by their magical experiments. At least, some of that depends on where you are in Faerun’s history as more recent evolutions of the group are more interested in trading magical items.
