Deaimon, the anime of Rin Asano’s confectionary manga series, has been confirmed for an April release.
The trailer has English subtitles, so hit the caption button to follow the relaxed tempo.
Tellingly, Tiolet Evergarden scribe Reiko Yoshida is adapting the scripts.
Deaimon is the story of a young man coming home to take up stewardship of his family’s confectionery shop. Once there, he soon discovers he has paternal-style responsibilities that come with the shop.
Nagumo Irino had wanted to be in a band, even going as far as running away from home to move to Tokyo before his father is hospitalised, and he feels he has to give up on that dream and come home.
Itsuka Yukihira had been adopted by his parents in the meantime. Now Irino finds himself in a contest with the 11-year-old to see who’ll be in charge of the shop.
