The Unquiet Dark is a prequel campaign for Brindlewood Bay on Kickstarter and from Alicia Furness. It’s picked up a “Project We Love” from the games team there.
It’s the same weird town, but a different weird time and the campaign needs CA$6,000 to fund. It’s halfway there with about three weeks left on the clock. You can find out more or join from the pitch page.
Brindlewood Bay is a quirky horror RPG in which characters are elderly ladies investigating crimes.
The Unquiet Dark is set in 1922, the height of jazz and another time in which society was debating morality. In the States, it was the era of prohibition.
This isn’t a stand-alone game, you need the $10 core rules from Jason Cordova to play.
The Unquiet Dark is a new campaign supplement for Brindlewood Bay. The campaign covers a year of in-game play, with 4 mysteries each set in a different season, a new Dark Conspiracy sheet, and guidance for setting your game in the 1920s.
The physical zine isn’t coming from DriveThruRPG and their Lightning Source partners, and it’s coming from one of the leading printing rivals with Mixam UK and Mixam Canada.
A pledge of CA$10 will get you a digital edition of The Unquiet Dark, although there is a financial hardship tier before. CA$15 gets you one and someone else, making a community copy available.
With shipping to be calculated later, a pledge of CA$20 gets a physical copy of the zine as a reward, and CA$25 unlocks that community copy.
The PDFs are due as soon as June 2022, and the printed copies are coming in August, all being well.
