Kickstarter delayed ZineQuest, but there’s Game On Tabletop and Zine Month as alternatives. There’s also many choices on offer with Côme Martin pulp adventures RPG zine about anthropomorphic birds.
Feathered Adventures suits one-shorts and 3 to 6 players; it doesn’t need dice nor even a GM, although you can if you want. There’s just over two weeks left to get involved and only €350 or so in pledges to take the crowdfunding campaign up a level.
Feathered Adventures is a complete game system, stretching to about 92 pages (subject to change, of course), 4 ready to play characters, 6 pre-written character types and an impressive 16 ready-to-play adventures.
The text-only version of Featured Adventures is currently free to download. Alternatively, a shorter but more finished demo is on Itch.
Côme is based in France, and the RPG will be available in both French and English, with art by Helkarava, a cover by Alain Gruetter and layout by Nicolas Folliot.
FEATHERED ADVENTURES is diceless and keeps things very simple!
Characters are defined by answering a series of queries about them (for instance, what do they do when they get angry, or who is their best friend outside of the brood). They also each have a specific mechanic to ensure them a total success in their actions: for example, the rich but good-hearted character only fully succeeds in doing something if they sacrifice something costly to do so; otherwise, they can only succeed with a complication, or fail.
A €9 pledge is enough to get the full version of Feathered Friends in PDF, which includes all the unlocked and appropriate stretch goals.
At €15, the printed version of the RPG zine is added.
Fulfilment is expected this summer.
