Knock! 1 and 2 have both been very good; fat OSR zines crammed with good art and content.
It’s absolutely no surprise to watch Olivier Revenu’s third edition smash through Kickstarter goals. There are 20 days to back or, as the campaign says, be damned forever.
Knock! #3 shouldn’t be the last as Knock! #4 is also planned for the year. What’s expected in the forthcoming book is some 210+ pages of RPG encounters, advice, essays, monsters and resources.
The book is A5 size, which is pretty much my favourite for RPGs these days, printed on high-quality paper and in full colour.
KNOCK! is back for two more issues this year. So once more, we’ve packed 212 pages full of adventure gaming goodness from every h(osr)rizon. Issue the Third is yet another thick, slick brick of that magical brew of old and new across the spectrum of our common interests: game design essays, refereeing advice and procedures, weird AF encounters and NPCs, a mini-game or two, and of course a helmetload of random tables for all sorts of uses. The Portfolio of Cartographic Curiosities contains seven maps, the Menagerie of Monstrosities is creaking under the weight of seven unique monsters, and the Retinue of Rogues presents six new classes for your classic deehendee.
Backers at the €15 tier, which is about £13, get a PDF copy and appropriate digital stretch goals.
After that initial reward level, there are only two other options.
Firstly, €26 will get you both the physical edition and PDF with appropriate stretch goals and worldwide shipping supported, but extra.
If you want two copies, and this is the sort of book you can give as a gift or might want players to read, then there’s a €46 tier that supports that.
Fulfilment is expected this year and really soon; in March.
