Alan Bahr is keeping busy, writing for his own company Gallant Knight Games and Outland he will also write Crescendo of Violence for Osprey Games.
The tabletop RPG is set in 2093 in the dystopian Neo York of high-rises and neon, strutting CEOs, vid-stars and wealthy mob bosses.
Welcome to a world of synth-jazz and cybernetics, where the status quo grinds down the hardworking man and vat-grown clone alike. Whether you’re the redemption-seeking gangster, the one good cop in a corrupt system, or the gene-modded musician trying to make it big, you’ll be trying to get by in a city that just doesn’t care.
The game is billed as high-octane bloodshed, primed to produce epic fight scenes with a unique ruleset pitched around cinematic neon-noir action.
The tabletop is slated for the end of September this year.
The cover has already been revealed, bright and bold in colour, showing smoke, music and Tommy guns that almost evoke a 1920s era.
While the cover art is glossy, the world setting, despite the glitter, is grimy. Osprey says;
And while the rain reflects the neon, it never washes away the grim and filth of the streets.
