Apotheosis by Ian Tassin is available as a free to download demo that weighs in at an impressive 128-pages at DriveThruRPG.
There’s a high-energy trailer video for the RPG. Yes, I know, it uses the phrase “The stamina and wounding system synergises with the dynamic combat mechanics” (twice, nearly) and is prone to what I describe as marketing agency talk, but it still gets the point across. As we can see; the RPG has been a hit, too.
The demo is out after the Kickstarter and that was a campaign that raised more than $10,000. According to the updates, the final books, including physical rewards, were sent to backers in December.
The demo and core rules are both 128-pages, according to DTRPG.
The core rules have been available since October and cost $15 at DriveThruRPG where they are a silver best-seller.
The RPGs website suggests the system supports well over 500,000 character builds and manages to be both realistic and immersive.
Apotheosis supports a progression system in which skills improve as they are used, 11 playable species, 5 unique to the setting, simple attributes, a magic system with spell list and a method for randomly generating magic items.
There’s no known connection between Apotheosis and Satine Phoenix and Jamison Stone’s Apotheosis Studio.
