Publisher Outland Entertainment has been doing more in the RPG publishing space. Projects include Tombpunk, the 5e-project Galefire, and Hopeless, Maine, among a few.
Pinnacle Entertainment, the Savage Worlds publisher, is now involved. This time, Outland will publish fiction based on Pinnacles’ games rather than publish more RPGs.
A new imprint called Outrider Publications has been created for the project.
Shane Lacy Hensely, Pinnacle’s founder, said;
When I saw the quality of Outland’s books, I knew Outland was the perfect partner to grow our line of fiction for all our original properties.”
C. Edward Sellner, the new licensing director at Outland, added;
My studio, Visionary Creative Services, previously held the license for Deadlands. But with Visionary now partnering with Outland as publisher and licensee, I know we can build an amazing line of prose and comic projects featuring the entire Savage Worlds line that will hit the highest marks of quality both Visionary and Outland are known for.”
As you would expect, Outrider Publications is picking up where Visionary Creative left off, and the first projects are re-releases of the previous Deadland graphic novels and with hardcovers.
The first will be Dead Man’s Hand, and it’ll come via Kickstarter.
