Published today, still live on YouTube and, according to the watch counter at the time this blog post goes live, watched by 1002 people, this “Hasbro’s NEW Toys, Games and Entertainment in 2022!” video shows new D&D.
D&D appears at 0:22 minutes, 0:33 and 0:42 of the minute-long video. In a shameless case of over-engineering, let’s run a screengrab through AI Image to tweak and expand it. CSI-style!
I’m not sure that’s any clearer, but either way, D&D Starter Set is clearly visible, as is “Dragons of Stormwreck Isle”.
The accompanying brochure looks very skimpy, though, probably with fewer pages than character sheets laying under it, and we can speculate whether it’s a render or not.
There is written confirmation from Hasbro too. An otherwise business as usual press release mentions two D&D books.
- Dungeons & Dragons – Critical Role Presents: Call of the Netherdeep (All Ages/Approx. Retail Price: $49.99)
- Dungeons & Dragons – Dragons of Stormwreck Isle (All Ages/Approx. Retail Price: $49.99)
It’s been an interesting day for team Wizards of the Coast, which started with the news that their old boss, and new uber boss, Chris Cocks would have to deal with investors battling to spinout Wizards of the Coast from Hasbro.
