Dice jails are places to put dice that have poorly rolled and let you down, and they should be a punishment. A shame.
What’s with the cuteness of Mypherian Studios, a star-seller on Etsy, and this cuddling axolotl dice jail?
Cuddles as punishment? Big puppy eyes as shame? I’m not sure this is a jail.
Okay, okay, I don’t think the technical definition of dice jail is the main thrust of this article. This is an “I found a cute thing!” post that segues wonderfully into “dice!” and that’s worth sharing.
The axolotl familiars are 3d prints and about 155mm x 100 mm x 155mm. As shown, that’s the right size to hold most d20.
There are three versions available, and the cheapest is the rough 3d print, which comes to £41.45 with shipping. Mypherian Studios is in the States, so brace for high shipping costs. If you’re in the UK, then that’s another £23.63.
The second option costs £59.87, which also has Mypherian sand and shapes the model, cleaning up as 3D printed objects need before they’re painted.
The highest tier is £82.89, for which you get the Etsy boutique to also paint your model.
