Pokemon Day was on February 27th, and it looks like shoppers didn’t catch them all. Not if we’re talking about geeky retailer Zavvi’s Pokemon Akedo bundle.
The Pokemon Adult Signature High Tops are normally £50 on their own, and so the bundle does represent a saving. For £80, you’ll get those shoes, a white Pikachu hoodie and a t-shirt.
White, I guess, is a colour that takes some courage to wear if you eat as anywhere messily as me.
The partner in the bundle is Akedo. They’re a footwear brand by design, and perhaps that’s why the High Tops stand out so well in the Zavvi bundle. I’m not convinced that B2C is generally how the fan merch maker operates, and I suspect they prefer to work through shops like Zavvi. Any evidence for that? The Akedo Footwear website is “coming”, and you absolutely can’t buy anything from it. Isn’t that strange?
I notice, though, that these Charizard high tops were also supposed to go live on the 25th and that their launch page is a coming soon sign up page. Did they get delayed? Or perhaps they sold out?
Speaking of which; this The Batman page is also live with a launch date of, er, today!
