Geek Native’s covered lots of fantastic Etsy craft items like dice towers, dice trays and, er, well, dice. Actually, in fairness, there’s been character sheets too.
What about full-blown art? It’s a more complicated purchase to manage as you need to find an artist who’ll draw what you want in the style that suits you. It’s not as if illustrators can easily switch back and forth.
Let’s take a look at Agata Żebrowska, a talented illustrator from Poland.
Agata takes two months to deliver, which isn’t long for art, but exactly why commissioning a group portrait needs planning. You get a full-colour and full-body illustration, but Agata doesn’t do complex internal architecture, mecha or even really complex armour. It’s all about the people.
There’s a generous gallery of samples on the commission page.
It’s also worth noting that you don’t get a Photoshop file at the end, no PSD for you to manipulate, and you certainly don’t get a physical print. You’re commissioning a digital piece here but with it costing less than £100 per character, what did you expect?
