In the future, in the world of Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru, we can turn objects into living people. Dark forces also can travel back in time and corrupt history.
The solution? Travel back in time, turn historical Japanese swords into pretty young warrior men and charge them with the honour of stopping evil.
The anime is based on an online collectable card game. It’s also had live-action movies, anime and musicals. Now it’s getting three feature-length anime under Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru ~Setsugetsuka~.
The three movies of Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru ~Setsugetsuka~ are “Yuki no Maki” (Snow Story), “Tsuki no Maki” (Moon Story) and “Hana no Maki” (Flower Story).
Snow Story opens in Japan on May 20th, Moon Story on July 8th and Flower Story on September 1st. That’ll keep these pretty young swords busy.
Touken Ranbu Warriors is also a new PC game for the series, which launched in Japan last month, and will come to the Switch in the USA in May after Snow Story opens.
