Blue Thermal is supposed to be an anime about the joy and escape of flying.
I don’t speak a word of Japanese, so I have no idea what was actually said at the start of Blue Thermal’s latest trailer. It seems entirely sinister, though… for a bit.
The show is adapted from Kana Ozawa’s manga, and so one possible reason for the glum start is due to the two million yen fine that the hero Tamaki has to wrestle with.
Or, based on the characters, it may be an encounter with the half-sister Chizuru who leads a rival club.
Some of the anime’s music, including the titular “Blue Thermal”, is by SHE. That’s a piano rock band, and I had no idea such things existed.
Blue Thermal is out in Japanese cinema this week, and we’re yet to find out what might happen to the feature-length after that run.
