We’re getting a lot of Dragonlance content this week.
The timing is likely a coincidence as, throughout the year, OneBookShelf and Wizards of the Coast have been busy scanning old TSR content and making it available on DriveThruRPG.
However, Dragonlance’s Leaves from the Inn of the Last Home is one of the latest.
The 258-page supplement is written by Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis, Dragonlance’s co-creators, and costs $12.95 for the newly-released digital download.
The original book came out in 1987, published by actual TSR and with the subtitle “The Complete Krynn Sourcebook”. The coincidence of timing is that Wizards of the Coast have just released Heroes of Kyrnn through Unearthed Arcana. In other words, Leaves from the Inn of the Last Home hits the digital shelves just as WotC goes public with its 5e Dragonlance playtesting.
Leaves from the Inn of the Last Home isn’t about rules; it’s about the world. It includes Dragonlance legends, essays and even recipes. Characters discuss the creation of Krynn, the difference between dwarves and kender and even the tactics of dragons.
The book’s blurb says;
How the Companions Met
Lord Gunthnr’s War Journal
Berterm’s Essays on the Races of Krynn
Note from Raistlln’s Book of Herb Lore
Rune Readings and Numerological Charts
Songs, Recipes, Musical Scores
Legends, Proverbs, Artfacts of Krynn
